Leslie Ehm comes from a long line of strong matriarchs and a father who was a Holocaust survivor. Her family taught her to appreciate the value and beauty of life from a young age and celebrated her need to march to her own beat.
Leslie recounts her journey as a musician, screenwriter, talk show host and Creative Director of Canada’s largest advertising agency. She left one of the ad industry’s biggest jobs to found her own training company after recognizing her superpower was the ability to truly and deeply understand people. Her company helps people feel better about themselves and their work and tap into their humanity and authenticity.
“Swagger,” her best-selling book, is described as one part guidebook, one part manifesto to help readers unleash their personal brand of swagger.
Fiercely committed to her family, Leslie chats about how she dropped everything to team up with her sister Erica to care for her sick mother and shares her gratitude for having that time with her. An amateur painter and competitive boxer on the side (pursuits she took up in her 50s), Leslie has been a fighter her whole life — fighting for what’s right and the right to be her unique self.
Chatter That Matters is hosted by the Marketing Hall of Legends and the Canadian Marketing and PR Hall of Fame Inductee Tony Chapman. Tony wants to counter the storm of negativity and a growing sense of impossibility by sharing inspiring stories of perseverance and possibility. Stories of people who make things happen, despite today’s challenging circumstances. In doing so, he hopes their life lessons inspire others to do more and to be more. RBC is the presenting sponsor.
