Amber Dawn MacArthur, known as Amber Mac, is a Canadian TV & broadcast personality, successful entrepreneur, best-selling author and role model for women-led enterprises. She is one of the most sought-after speakers in technology today, having forged a unique path for herself with a distinct voice and passion within the field.
Amber worked in local broadcasting before spreading her wings in San Francisco, where she was immersed in the dot-com boom of the late 1990s. There, she saw the potential of technology first-hand, and upon arriving in Toronto noticed a need for reporting on the changes taking place with the evolution of the internet. With a passion to use her own voice, create content she believed in and demystify technology, she started her own business. Today, she and her husband run Amber Mac Media, Inc., an award-winning content development agency.
In this edition of Chatter That Maters, Amber talks about building her personal brand, managing a business with her husband and how her son changed her perspective and purpose.
Tony and Amber chat about the digital divide that exists today and why she’s raising alarm bells about what technology can do for the world. She talks about the good that can come from uncomfortable conversations and what worries her the most about the future of technology.
In an honest conversation about her own personal battles and victories, Amber Mac shares her past experiences and future hopes for an increasingly digital world.
Tony Chapman created the Chatter That Matters podcast to counter the storm of negativity and impossibility with true stories of ordinary people who do extraordinary things. He chats with Olympians, Advocates, Celebrities, Leaders, and people who battled what seemed like insurmountable odds.
