When he was two years old, Israel Diaz would watch his father and older brother play chess on the front porch. By Grade 8, he was the Toronto Chess Champion. This pattern of fascination, marked by future achievement, led him to his colourful career.
A proponent of providing real value versus shouting the loudest to convey a message, Diaz believes in going deep into the creative process to understand the ‘who’ behind the ‘why,’ the purpose behind a business and the actual needs of an audience. This belief led to his founding of Sunday + Night, a one-of-a-kind strategic and creative firm powered by solutionists collaborating for 16 hours on Sundays to solve problems through creativity.
Israel also talks about his daily regime of waking at 4 a.m. to carve out 28 hours of his time a week and why meditation, exercise and feeding his curiosity nourish the mind and soul.
Chatter That Matters is hosted by the Marketing Hall of Legends and the Canadian Marketing and PR Hall of Fame Inductee Tony Chapman. Tony wants to counter the storm of negativity and a growing sense of impossibility by sharing true stories of possibility and positivity. Stories of people who make things happen, despite today’s challenging circumstances. In doing so, he hopes their life lessons inspire others to do more and to be more.
